impressive performances. She worked on Edward Burns’ Sidewalks of New
York; and on Mike Tollin’s Summer Catch, which reteamed her with Cherry
Falls costar Gabriel Mann. Murphy can also be heard weekly on the
popular Fox Network series King of the Hill, as the voice of both
LuAnne and Joseph. Her other television credits include the critically
acclaimed Showtime telefilms Common Ground and The Devil’s Arithmetic
(both for director Donna Deitch); and the Oprah Winfrey Presents
telefilm remake of David and Lisa (directed by Lloyd Kramer). The New
Jersey native has appeared on Broadway in Michael Mayer’s Tony
Award-winning revival of Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge,
